Day 8 Rome to Durhamville
So just a few words about where we stayed last night, the Oak and Ivy BNB. A labor of love for our English host Fred. He has owned the place for about 30 years and has done many renovations. Our breakfast this morning was great. A good place to stay if visiting Rome.
A 17 m walk today. The weather was great and we walked mostly along a stone dust trail. We passed through the Erie Canal Village located west of Rome. It used to be a great place to visit, but has gone down hill and is now closed to the public.
Finished the day around 330. Some pictures taken along the trail.
